About Us
With offices at 100 Water Drive in O’Fallon, Missouri, Water District 2 has grown from a small, rural water district at its inception to the largest water district in the State of Missouri serving a population of about 75,000 people. Some of that growth is attributable to acquisitions of other utilities, but most of it comes from the addition of customers coming directly into our service area, now encompassing over 400 square miles. The service area includes the communities of Lake St. Louis, Defiance, New Melle, Augusta, Dardenne Prairie, Dutzow and parts of O’Fallon, Weldon Spring, Foristell, Innsbrook and unincorporated St. Charles and Warren Counties.
Recent and ongoing construction projects for the Water District include a new water tower in Warrenton, four replacement wells to feed the District’s Defiance Water Treatment Plant, and new larger water lines throughout the service area. Other pipelines, pump stations and wastewater facilities are also being planned. These projects are aimed at continuing our reliable, high quality service to our customers.
